Dana Dzurko
Atmospheric Wabi-Sabi Artist | Cleveland, OH
Artist Bio
Dana Dzurko is a Cleveland, Ohio based fine artist whose work explores the profound intersections of resilience, healing, and transformation. Merging the raw energy of abstract expressionism with the grounding elements of abstract realism, her practice is centered on the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi—finding beauty in imperfection and the fleeting nature of existence.
Dzurko’s evolution as an artist is marked by a rich history in large-scale mural installation and business leadership, having served as the principal of Dana’s Point of View Murals for over two decades. Today, her studio work focuses on texture, layering, and the interplay of light and shadow, often utilizing acrylics to create atmospheric narratives that resonate with a sense of being weathered yet reborn.
Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Ursuline College, with a focus on painting and fine art photography, alongside studies at Bowling Green State University. Selected works are utilized by Dr. Gabor Toth for clinical education and survivor support. Her work has also been recognized and acquired for permanent collection at Wooster Community Hospital. Currently, she maintains an active studio practice, contributing to the vibrant contemporary art scene in Northeast Ohio through solo and juried exhibitions.
